Six years ago Moby launched Mobygratis.com, a site via which the producer/DJ makes some of his music available for use, at no cost, by students, independent filmmakers and non-profits. 

With a library that includes both released and unreleased compositions, it’s a great resource for anyone making a film on a low budget (a.k.a most in the industry).

While Moby Gratis is intended to help out makers of non-commercial films, if a track is picked up by a commercial project, any money generated by its use is gifted to animal protection agency the Humane Society.
