LISTEN | David Hesketh on the rise of bilingualism in Wales

Liverpudlian Dave Hesketh relocated to the North Wales town of Rhuthun/Ruthin in 1985 and held the post of Head of Design and Technology at a local school for 25 years. Now retired, he continues to work for the examination board as a subject specialist.

Here, he and Sarah follow on from her interview with 16 year-old Welsh student Agnes Carter, this time offering a teacher’s perspective on bilingual schools in Wales, and the undeniable centrality of language.
